"Big Tex"
Meet, "Big Tex", an AQHA 6 year-old gelding with Hancock's Blue Boy bloodlines.
This picture is just another day at work for Tex who is a true asset to the ranch.
He "moonlights" nights and weekends by roping and barrel racing. His favorite treat
is anything you can fit in your back pocket, in any flavor.

"Phoenix"
I would like to introduce you to the best thing that ever happened to me. His name
is Phoenix, he is a 2.5 year old American Saddlebred. Almost starved to death in
a heart-breaking animal cruelty case, he was named Phoenix by his rescuers in the
hopes that he "would rise from the ashes". I adopted him as a yearling
- after being at the rescue for 6 months. The early neglect has not affected his
love of humans or his "irrepressible" nature. I have been involved in
his care since his rescue and he has seen me through some of the darkest of times
- he is the darling of the barn, and is considered to be more "dog like"
in personality than horsey.

"Cricket"
Cricket a 14 year old Quarter Horse with her four-day-old baby Fate.

"Bo"
Meet Satin & Lace Bo (we call him BO). He is an 9 year old Paint gelding. I am a
63 year old woman who had ridden my whole life untill I had a knee injury, playing
softball, and had 15 knee surgeries. I had not ridden in over 20 years being too
afraid of re-injuring my knee. But my love for horses never died. I went to a paint
horse sale in 2003 and when BO came in the sale ring as a 2 year old it was instant
love. He looked at me like I was the only person sitting in the audience. Needless
to say I bought him. He just had a way about him that made me trust him and know
he wouldn't hurt me. He was green with only about 60 days training, but when I stepped
in the stirrup for the first time in 20 years I knew he would take care not to hurt
me. We trail ride all over Texas. As you can see in the picture, he spends his summer
days diving for moss in our tank. He loves to eat it. I had never seen a horse eat
moss, but he has our other 2 horses eating it now. He has given me back the thing
in life I enjoy the most. As the old saying goes "there is nothing better for
the inside of our souls than the outside of a horse."

"Cherry"
Cherry Cola is our little treasure. We are not exactly sure of her age but we believe
that she is between 35 and 40 years "young". Before buying her, she was
put through all of the "child safe" tests, for she was to be our grand
children's friend...obviously, she passed with "flying colors". Since
that time, she has taught our delighted grandchildren how to ride. Throughout the
years, Cherry has been ridden in parades, horse shows, and has had at least one
hundred children thrilled to be able to ride their first horse. Little Cherry has
never said "no" to anything asked of her. We have had numerous opportunities
to sell Cherry, but we tell folks that no one has enough money to buy her for she
is "PRICELESS".

"Finn & Grania"
Meet Finn and Grania, they are 2 PMU rescues. When my husband and I got them at
6 months old, they were standing in a feed lot in Canada waiting to be slaughtered.
They were both ugly ducklings, but look at them now. They are called "our kids"
and they are 4 1/2 years old. Both are Belgian Draft crosses. Grania is almost 16
hands and Finn is 17.5 hands tall. Both have different personalities. Finn will
follow me around the yard and not leave my side, while Grania has a inquisitive
side and gets into everything. They will never turn down carrots, apples, horse
cookies, and watermelon, plus, anything in your hand is open to inspection.

"Dobe"
Dobe is an 8 year old BLM Mustang that I got as an unhandled 3 year old stud. He
is now the best partner that a cowgirl could ask for and has a heart bigger than
his compact body can hold. He willingly carries the flag in parades and packs around
my not so horsey friends. He has made a dang good roping horse and will pull whatever
I ask him to. His nickname is "Tow-Truck".

|
"LJS Deco Rouge"
This is LJS Deco Rouge, our 4-year warmblood filly. As you can see we are very close
and the trusting love is unconditional since both of us are in a full locking kiss
with eyes closed. No worries in this complete horsey devotion!

"Tucker"
Tucker (Patronus) is my almost 7 year old PMU rescue that I adopted when he was
6 months old. I broke and trained him myself and he is an eventer.

|
"Cookies-N-Cream"
Cookies-N-Cream is a 7 year old, half - Arabian mare. She loves trail obstacles
and will go over anything in the training ring. She loves apple-flavored cookie
treats.
