Keep those entries coming. Feel free to enter every month!
"Scooby"

This is Sensational Scooby! He is a one-of-a-kind American Warmblood; combining Akhal-Teke, Tennessee walker, and Percheron breeds. He is an 11-year old event horse. He is special in many ways. At 16 hands, 3 inches, he stands out in a crowd. He has a wonderful personality and a fantastic work ethic. He gets very attached to his people and his barn mates. He's very affectionate and smart, making him a barn favorite.
Runners-up
"Kira"

Kira Sioux is my best friend and companion. She is by the Lusitano stallion, Saphiro out of a champion Kiger mustang mare, Lakota Sioux. She is 5 years old and finally at an age where we can explore new things. Last year I had an opportunity to spend time on a cattle/guest ranch to get Kira trained in ranch work. What fun we had. We went back for a week this year and hope to go back every year. Till the next visit Kira and I will be out exploring the beautiful places where we live. This picture is from the week we were at the ranch.
"Samson"

This is Gypsy Vanner "Samson" in the wild flowers. He turned 5 on July 31. I have had him for a year and a half and have taught him to ride Western, and be a great trail horse. We are working on jumping and sweeping with the broom in his mouth! He is also trained to drive!
"Sugar"

This is Sugar! She is my favorite horse to ride at Rocking T Ranch and loves when I bring her carrots and apples.
"Leah"

Leah is a 8-year old Haflinger who is trained to drive and also rides English. Leah is a good pony/horse for any young child to ride, she'll take care of them no matter what. My 16 year old daughter can go in the pasture with her, jump on her bareback, and ride her around.
"Shiloh"

Shadows At Dusk is my dream horse who happened to just fall into my lap when I wasn't looking for a horse. He is a 6 year old dun double registered Quarter Pony gelding (AQPA/ABRA). He is a trick horse in training and a fun trail horse as well. I use him to teach 4-H members about horse safety and general horse handling, as well as showmanship and ground training. "Shiloh" gallops to me in the pasture when I whistle, and even walks AWAY from his grain to follow me! He is one of those one of a kind horses!
"Jocko"

This is Jocko, a 16 -hand Tennessee Walking Horse/Spotted Saddle Horse. He has very smooth gaits and is an awesome trail horse in all types of terrain. We have ridden him in the Shawnee National Forest for many years and have gone to the Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Mountains, Ozark Mountains and many other places. He is good at crossing cold rivers in Eminence, MO.
"Aesop"

This is Aesop. He is an 8-year old Friesian/Single Foot cross. I have owned him for 3 months and he is the sweetest thing. He loves to swim in the pond and he loves people. He is always the first to the gate anytime anyone shows up. My last horse passed away the day before Easter. I had owned him for 22 yrs. I wasn't going to get another horse right away. Then I saw his video and that he was for sale, I flew down to North Carolina and bought him.
"Ruger"

This is BLR Doc's Dandy Dude ( AKA RUGER ) and his boy Cody. He is a 6 year old AQHA gelding that has brought more joy to our family than words could ever say. Ruger was mistreated and underweight when we brought him home. He was scared of everyone and everthing. Ruger and Cody made a bond from day one. When Cody goes into the pasture, Ruger will drop his head so Cody can put the halter on and will follow him anywhere. It did not take Ruger long to see he was truly loved and would never have to worry about being mistreated again . Cody and Ruger started barrel racing this year and are smokin' up the pen. He is truly that once in a lifetime find.
"Sullivan"

Meet "Sullivan", a 14-year-old gelding, Thoroughbred, hunter/jumper. Sullivan is my first horse, and he's taught me so much about horsemanship. He is a thrill to ride and will do anything (except jump through gymnastics) for anyone. He loves hugs and kisses and to chew on sneakers. Sullivan is a very patient teacher and student. He taught me how to truly be "fearless in the irons." He has many allergies-including apples, tumbleweeds, daises and yellow jackets. But he and I have coped. He is a favorite at the barn. He loves mares and he is a real charmer to both other horses and humans. Above all, he is my horse and we are a team bonded by love.
